Billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola Wednesday welcomed Afrobeats superstars Burna Boy and Wizkid to his Lagos home, celebrating the genre’s global impact.

Sharing a photo from the gathering on his X handle, Otedola described it as a privilege to host the music icons, highlighting their role in shaping Afrobeats as a worldwide movement.

“A true privilege to host some of our biggest music icons @wizkidayo @burnaboy at my Lagos home. Always inspiring to share ideas and celebrate the global movement that is Afrobeats … F.Ote,” he wrote.

The post sparked reactions from fans, with many applauding the meeting as a convergence of talent and vision. Popular blog Instablog9ja also shared the moment on X, captioning it:

“Grammy winners Wizkid and Burna Boy dine with Dollar Billionaire, Otedola.

Social media users responded with excitement, calling the gathering a powerful moment for Afrobeats. One user, Ken Giami, described it as an “incredible gathering,” praising Wizkid and Burna Boy for leading Afrobeats’ cultural dominance. Others had humorous and thought-provoking takes on the meeting.

Tochi (@iamtoch1) joked, “I thought Burna Boy can’t do without igbo . The day you meet a very high-caliber individual, nobody will tell you how to be on your best behavior.”

Big Jo (@simplyjoneszy) commented, “Funny how the shortest is the biggest of them all.”

However, some fans questioned the absence of other Afrobeat artistes like Davido.

Maks ForYou (@MaksForYou) asked, “OBO is missing here. But why?”

The conversation surrounding this exclusive meeting continues to highlight Afrobeats’ growing influence and the role of Nigerian artists in shaping global music trends.
