In a recent post via, Adesua opened about their struggles, revealing that she battled hyperemesis for months, a severe pregnancy condition that left her extremely ill. While managing her health, she faced another challenge: her husband needed surgery for a cancerous tumour.
She had to undergo an emergency C-section, describing it as a fight for survival. “The devil tried it with my life AGAIN, leading to a harrowing healing process. “It was overwhelming,” she wrote. Despite everything, she remains grateful for life and God’s faithfulness.
Scandal strikes
Just as they were navigating these health challenges, social media erupted with rumours. The controversial blog, Gist lover, claimed Banky W had been involved in an affair with a woman based in the United States, allegedly resulting in a pregnancy. The woman, rumoured to have ended two prior pregnancies, was refusing this time, calling herself “Mrs. Wellington USA chapter.”
In response, Banky W took to the pulpit at Water Brooks Church, dismissing the allegations as an attempt by the enemy to derail his ministry. He reaffirmed his faith and expressed gratitude for Adesua, who has remained by his side.
Meanwhile, an old video of Banky resurfaced, in which he spoke about battling past reckless behaviours and the importance of staying grounded. The clip’s reappearance raised questions, some linking it to the scandal.
Adding to the intrigue, singer Niyola—rumoured to be involved—posted a cryptic Instagram story featuring a hissing snake with no caption, fuelling further speculation.
Love through the storm
Despite the swirling controversy, Banky W and Adesua have continued to show a united front. On Adesua’s birthday, Banky W penned a heartfelt message celebrating their eight years together, calling it their best year yet. “I’ve watched you grow. Can’t wait for the world to see you shine. No matter what the future holds, I’m yours, and you’re mine,” he wrote.
Through illness, heartbreak, and public scrutiny, the couple has stood firm. Their love story, once seen as a fairytale, is now a test of endurance. Whether they become stronger or face challenges due to fame and controversy is uncertain, but currently, they continue their efforts—together.
