High Chief Emmanuel O. Uduaghan, husband of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has weighed in on the ongoing dispute between his wife and the Senate President Godswill Akpabio, urging the Senate to accord her the respect and dignity she deserves.
In a statement, the Alema of Warri Kingdom expressed deep concern over the escalating controversy, stating that unnecessary sentiments were being stirred, distracting from the real issues. He reaffirmed his wife’s dedication to serving her constituency even as he described her as a truthful and unwavering leader despite facing some adversity.
Uduaghan disclosed that he had initially chosen to stay silent on the matter but was compelled to speak due to recent developments. He recounted how he personally intervened in the dispute by meeting with Akpabio in an attempt to resolve the issue amicably.
“I approached the matter with the utmost maturity and responsibility, as it is my duty as a traditional leader who has immense respect for constituted authority, upholds core family values, and fosters peace and harmony,” he stated.

Despite reaching an understanding with the Senate President, Uduaghan noted that his wife continued to express concerns over the alleged harassment she had endured. He emphasized that he had unwavering faith in her loyalty and integrity and remained fully committed to their marriage, which he described as deeply rooted in love, compassion, and mutual respect.
Highlighting Senator Natasha’s credibility, Uduaghan stressed that she was elected by her people due to the immense love and trust they have in her. He urged the Senate and its leadership to ensure she is treated with the dignity she deserves, while relevant authorities and the courts address the underlying issues.
“I would never trade her for anything, as she is the greatest joy of my life,” he declared.
With tensions still high, his statement reinforces calls for fairness, respect, and due process in resolving the dispute between his wife and the Senator Akpabio.
