President Bola Tinubu has appointed two new permanent secretaries to fill existing vacancies in the Federal Civil Service, reinforcing his administration’s commitment to meritocracy and professionalism.
New on the block are Mr. Adeladan Olarinre from Oyo State and Mr. Mukhtar Muhammed representing the North-West geopolitical zone, both emerging from a rigorous and transparent selection process.
Mrs. Eno Olotu, Director of Information and Public Relations at the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation disclosed that the decision aligns with the government’s drive for excellence in public service.
“The new permanent secretaries are urged to bring their wealth of experience and expertise to their roles, which will further strengthen the delivery of public services and support the government’s development agenda,” she stated.
Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack, commended Tinubu for his steadfast commitment to transparency and efficiency in governance.
She described the appointments as a reflection of the administration’s dedication to building a competent and result-driven civil service that meets the needs of Nigerians.
This appointment follows similar steps taken in December 2024, when the President appointed eight permanent secretaries from different states and geopolitical zones to enhance efficiency in the Federal Civil Service.
The newly appointed officials are expected to assume their roles immediately, contributing to improved service delivery and national development.
