Eko Electricity Distribution Company,EKEDC, confirmed on Monday that residents across the Lagos region are continuing to face significant power outages due to ongoing faults on the 330kV transmission lines.”

In a statement posted on its X handle, EKEDC explained that the ongoing disruptions are the result of reduced power allocations from the Transmission Company of Nigeria , its primary partner in power distribution.

“The continued load-shedding is due to reduced power allocation from our TCN partners, caused by faults on the 330kV lines feeding the Lagos region,” EKEDC stated.

This power shortage has led to widespread frustration among both residents and businesses, who depend on a consistent power supply.

EKEDC expressed understanding of the inconvenience and reassured customers that efforts are underway to resolve the issue.
