The Igbomina Traditional Rulers Forum has expressed deep appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL.
Speaking on behalf of the forum, Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, Oba Ismail Bolaji Yahya Muhammed Atoloye Alebiosu, described the appointment as a remarkable achievement. As Chairman of the Igbomina Traditional Rulers Forum and the Irepodun Traditional Council, he conveyed the collective pride of the Igbomina community over the new leadership role entrusted to Ojulari.
The traditional ruler emphasized that this development reflects the recognition of the talents and contributions of Igbomina sons and daughters at both state and federal levels. He expressed confidence that Ojulari would demonstrate outstanding leadership in steering the affairs of NNPCL.
Oba Alebiosu offered prayers for Ojulari’s success in office, urging him to uphold excellence and integrity in his duties. He encouraged him to remain committed to policies that will enhance the growth of the petroleum sector and make the Igbomina people proud.

The monarch also acknowledged the role of Kwara State Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq in supporting Igbomina indigenes to attain prominent positions. He lauded the governor’s dedication to promoting inclusivity and empowering capable individuals from the region.
This appointment, the forum noted, marks a significant milestone for Igbomina land, as it strengthens the community’s presence in national leadership. The rulers expressed optimism that Ojulari’s expertise and experience will drive progressive reforms in the oil and gas industry.
