The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, has announced a major shake-up in its senior management team, with the appointment of eight top executives.

This strategic move marks a significant step under the leadership of newly appointed Group Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari.

With the approval of its Board of Directors, the national oil company has officially confirmed Rowland Ewubare as Group Chief Operating Officer, Adedapo Segun as Group Chief Finance Officer, and Olalekan Ogunleye as Executive Vice President, Gas, Power & New Energy. These appointments aim to enhance operational efficiency and push forward NNPC Ltd.’s transformation agenda.

Additional key appointments include Udy Ntia as Executive Vice President, Upstream; Mumuni Dangazau as Executive Vice President, Downstream; Sophia Mbakwe as Executive Vice President, Business Services; and Adesua Dozie as Company Secretary & Chief Legal Officer. Each executive brings a wealth of experience and industry knowledge to their respective roles.

These appointments also reflect a renewed focus on innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence, as NNPC Ltd. transitions into a fully commercial entity following the Petroleum Industry Act.

The inclusion of experts in gas, power, business services, and legal affairs underscores the company’s commitment to diverse energy development and regulatory compliance.

The newly constituted management is expected to begin work immediately, setting the tone for a results-driven era under Mr. Ojulari. As the energy sector continues to evolve, stakeholders will be watching closely to see how this new team delivers on the company’s mandate to ensure energy security and drive economic growth.
