Years after a bitter leadership tussle in the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, drove a wedge between them, veteran Nollywood stars Segun Arinze and Emeka Ike have finally made peace.
Way back in 2009, the feud stemmed from a controversial AGN election that saw Arinze emerge as president over Ike. The outcome led to a prolonged legal battle as Ike challenged the results in court, further straining their relationship.
In a recent interview, Arinze confirmed the two have put their differences behind them, describing the situation as water under the bridge. He shared that they now talk and laugh over the past, noting that the conflict ended naturally with time.

Arinze spoke warmly of his colleague, calling Emeka Ike a “fine actor” and emphasizing the importance of letting go of grudges. He expressed that life is too short to carry animosity, urging others to “travel light” and embrace peace.
He also extended a friendly gesture, inviting Ike for lunch or dinner whenever their paths cross, describing him as a friend. Arinze added that their rift was never personal but simply tied to the AGN leadership struggle.
