The Minister of Power, Mr Adebayo Adelabu has reiterated the Federal Government’s commitment to stabilising Nigeria’s power sector and addressing challenges facing the energy industry.

In his Easter message, signed by his Special Adviser on Strategic Communications and Media Relations, Mr Bolaji Tunji, and released in Abuja on Saturday, Adelabu acknowledged the economic hardship experienced by many Nigerians and assured citizens of the ministry’s ongoing efforts to deliver sustainable energy solutions.

“We acknowledge the economic hardships faced by many Nigerians and reaffirm our commitment to stabilising the grid, expanding access, and fostering investor confidence,” Adelabu said.

He highlighted key reforms currently underway, including the upgrade of transmission infrastructure and partnerships with renewable energy developers, as critical steps toward improving power supply nationwide.

The minister urged Nigerians to continue supporting government initiatives and to contribute to progress by reporting illegal activities such as energy theft and vandalism of infrastructure.

“Let us also embrace energy-efficient practices to reduce strain on the grid,” he added.

Reflecting on the Easter season, Adelabu described it as a period of unity and compassion, encouraging Nigerians to draw inspiration from the values of sacrifice, love, and renewed hope.

“These are values that align with our collective efforts to build a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria,” he said. “May the spirit of Easter inspire hope and solidarity and build a Nigeria where every home enjoys uninterrupted power, and every citizen thrives in an environment of peace and progress.”

The minister reiterated President Bola Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope Agenda,” stressing the importance of patriotism and collective resilience in overcoming national challenges.
