Liverpool are reportedly preparing a move for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen as part of a summer squad overhaul.
The 26-year-old forward, who spent last season on loan at Galatasaray, remains under contract with Napoli but could be set for a Premier League switch.
His pace and goal-scoring ability make him an ideal target as Liverpool aim to freshen their attacking options ahead of the new campaign.
While Liverpool consider reinforcements up front, they may also need to fend off interest in their defensive ranks.
Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen are said to be targeting Jarell Quansah. The 22-year-old centre-back is valued at around £40 million and has made an impression with his composure and potential. Liverpool are believed to be reluctant to let him go unless a significant offer is made.
Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain have made it clear they do not intend to sell winger Bradley Barcola. The 22-year-old French international has caught the attention of Liverpool and Bayern Munich, but PSG are firm in their stance that he is not available this summer. The Parisian club sees Barcola as central to their plans moving forward.
Manchester United are also eyeing attacking options and have turned their focus to Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike.

The 22-year-old could be involved in a big-money transfer, with reported valuations nearing £85 million. Ekitike’s form in the Bundesliga has drawn interest from several top-tier clubs, but United are thought to be in pole position.
At Arsenal, the focus has shifted to Spain international Nico Williams. The 22-year-old winger, known for his pace and technical skill, is a top target.
However, Bayern Munich have reportedly triggered his release clause, potentially putting the German giants in control of the deal.
In addition, Arsenal are believed to be in talks with Ajax regarding teenage centre-back Jorrel Hato and could lose Oleksandr Zinchenko to AC Milan, who are exploring a move for the versatile Ukrainian defender.
Newly promoted Leeds United are also active, holding talks with Italian side Udinese for Slovenia international Jaka Bijol. The 26-year-old defender could add experience and solidity to Leeds’ backline as they prepare for their return to the top flight.
Brentford, meanwhile, are determined to keep hold of Danish midfielder Christian Norgaard despite interest from new Tottenham manager Thomas Frank, who worked with the player during his time at the west London club.
Elsewhere, West Ham and Brentford are reportedly tracking Hamza Igamane, the Moroccan striker who impressed with 16 goals for Rangers last season. Millwall defender Japhet Tanganga is attracting Premier League interest, with four clubs ready to activate his £1.2 million release clause.
In the Championship, Middlesbrough could soon have a new manager, with former Luton boss Rob Edwards now the leading candidate for the job.
With several high-profile players and clubs engaged in negotiations, this summer’s transfer window is already shaping up to be one of the most active in recent years.
