Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced it will begin nationwide distribution of Premium Motor Spirit and diesel from August 15, 2025.

To support the initiative, the company has acquired 4,000 brand-new Compressed Natural Gas, CNG, powered tankers, ensuring a sustainable and cost-effective transport solution.

Additionally, it is investing in the development of CNG daughter booster stations and deploying over 100 specialized CNG tankers to further streamline product distribution across urban and rural locations.

According to the company, this distribution will extend to petrol marketers, independent dealers, manufacturers, telecom operators, aviation operators, and other large fuel consumers.

All fuel purchases under this initiative come with free logistics, reducing costs for stakeholders and increasing access to fuel, especially in underserved areas.

“This program reflects our commitment to national development,” the company stated. “By eliminating logistics barriers and promoting clean energy usage, we are making fuel more affordable while supporting economic growth and job creation.”

As part of the offer, petrol stations purchasing directly from Dangote Refinery will enjoy not just free distribution, but also access to a credit facility.

Buyers of 500,000 litres or more can obtain an equal quantity on a two-week credit, secured via bank guarantee—aimed at easing working capital constraints for fuel dealers and businesses.

This initiative also aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, particularly in its aim to lower inflation, energize small and medium enterprises and enhance the competitiveness of Nigerian manufacturers by reducing energy costs.

Beyond economic advantages, the project is also expected to breathe life into dormant petrol stations, increase government revenue, and spark industrial growth, particularly in the hinterlands.

The 60-day registration and Know Your Customer verification window opens from June 16 to August 15. Stakeholders are encouraged to enroll promptly to benefit from the first phase of this transformational

Dangote Petroleum Refinery says this move underscores its ambition to be a “truly Nigerian company of global standards,” promising to deliver equitable fuel access to all, regardless of geography.

“This is a fuel distribution revolution. It is not just about petroleum—it’s about powering prosperity, one litre at a time,” the company added.
