Two high-profile European football stars, Luis Diaz and Theo Hernández, are making headlines in this summer’s transfer window, with both players edging closer to big-money moves that could reshape their respective clubs’ futures.

Liverpool winger Luis Diaz has reportedly reached a personal agreement with Bayern Munich, according to German outlet BILD.

Although the Colombian international remains a key part of Arne Slot’s plans at Anfield, the Bundesliga giants are actively pursuing his signature.

Diaz, 27, played an instrumental role in Liverpool’s 2024/25 Premier League title triumph, featuring in 36 league matches, scoring 13 goals, providing five assists, and racking up 16 goal involvements over 2,399 minutes. Since arriving from Porto in 2023, he has grown into one of the Reds’ most reliable attackers.

His potential departure would mark a significant shift for Liverpool, who have already made some proactive moves in the transfer market, securing deals for Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, and Milos Kerkez. Wirtz is particularly expected to offer left-wing flexibility should Diaz leave.

Bayern Munich, meanwhile, are looking to reinforce their squad following Jamal Musiala’s injury at the FIFA Club World Cup.

Diaz is seen as a top target to fill the attacking void. However, Liverpool have not officially entered negotiations, leaving the deal’s finalisation uncertain for now.

In another major development, AC Milan’s left-back Theo Hernández is on the verge of a transfer to Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal, with multiple reports, including one from transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, confirming that a €25 million fee has been agreed.

Romano wrote on Monday: “Theo Hernández to Al Hilal, here we go! Agreement now being sealed after verbal pact made two weeks ago. AC Milan will receive €25m transfer fee as Theo will sign his contract in the upcoming days.”

Hernández, 26, joined Milan from Real Madrid in 2019 and has been a standout performer in Serie A, helping the Rossoneri clinch the 2021/22 league title. His departure marks a significant defensive reshuffle for Milan heading into the new campaign.

The French international will become the latest high-profile European import to bolster Al Hilal’s squad, which is managed by Simone Inzaghi.

He is expected to play a pivotal role on the left flank in the Saudi club’s continued effort to dominate regional football and raise their global profile.
