Arsenal have officially contacted Chelsea regarding the signing of winger Noni Madueke.
In a statement reported by BBC Sport, the Gunners had already agreed personal terms with the 23-year-old England international last week, and have now made a formal approach to secure the deal.
Chelsea are reportedly seeking a fee in the region of £50 million for Madueke, who is currently with the Blues at the Club World Cup. He featured as a substitute in their 2-0 victory over Brazilian side Fluminense, helping Chelsea reach the final.

Since joining from PSV Eindhoven in January 2023, Madueke has made 92 appearances for Chelsea and scored 20 goals. He previously developed at Tottenham’s academy before spending over four years in the Netherlands.
Arsenal are keen to strengthen their attacking lineup this summer. Alongside Madueke, they are considering Real Madrid winger Rodrygo and Crystal Palace forward Eberechi Eze.
The Gunners have also intensified efforts to sign striker Viktor Gyökeres, with Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta holding face-to-face talks with Sporting CP officials in Portugal.
