The Chairman of Kwara United Football Club, Mr Kumbi Titiloye, has commended Kwara SWAN for its commitment to knowledge sharing and professional development of sports journalists.
Titiloye gave the commendation on Saturday during a Digital Media Seminar and Refresher Session organised by Kwara SWAN at the Taiwo Awoniyi Media Centre, Ilorin.
He described the association as a pacesetter in capacity building, stressing that its continuous seminars, workshops, and interactive programmes have significantly enhanced sports journalism growth in the state.

According to him, by equipping members with modern skills and ethical values, Kwara SWAN has elevated sports reporting quality and strengthened ties between the media and sports stakeholders.
“Kwara SWAN has set a remarkable standard. Their dedication to training, mentorship, and professional development is second to none,” Titiloye said.
He urged other state chapters to emulate Kwara’s example so that sports journalism across Nigeria can attain greater professionalism and quality.
The football administrator further assured that Kwara United remains open to partnerships with SWAN in areas that would advance sports in the state, particularly football.
He also pledged that Kwara United would continue working closely with SWAN, as both share the goal of promoting sports and showcasing young athletes’ talents.
Titiloye emphasised that such collaboration will benefit the club, the association, and ultimately Nigerians.
He appealed to sports stakeholders, including administrators and corporate organisations, to support SWAN’s efforts in promoting excellence in sports reporting nationwide.
He stressed that a vibrant media culture is essential for sustainable sports development.
