The Presidency has ordered the disengagement of Mr Fegho John Umunubo from his role as Special Assistant to the President on Digital and Creative Economy in the Office of the Vice President.
A statement issued by the Director of Information and Public Relations at the State House, Mr Abiodun Oladunjoye, on Monday announced Umunubo’s sack and with immediate compliance.
The statement partly reads:
“Stakeholders and constituents of the digital and creative economy, at home and abroad, as well as the general public are hereby notified that Fegho John Umunubo, who hitherto serves as the Special Assistant to the President on Digital and Creative Economy (Office of the Vice President), stands disengaged with immediate effect.

“Kindly note that he no longer represents this administration in any capacity.
“Henceforth, anyone who interfaces with him in the name of President Tinubu’s administration does so at his or her own risk.
“We urge all stakeholders and constituents of the digital and creative economy to be so guided.”
The Presidency stresses that Umunubo’s disengagement takes effect immediately and cautions stakeholders not to conduct any dealings with him under the guise of representing the government.
The Federal Government effectively severs ties with the former presidential aide and re-emphasises that he holds no mandate to speak or act on behalf of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
The warning, the statement notes, is necessary to prevent unauthorised representation that could compromise the administration’s policies within the digital and creative economy sector.
Credible News was informed that the hammer fell on Umunubo after reports filtered to the Presidency that he was using his office to solicit finance for projects he conceived but without clearance from his principal.
