Social activist Comrade Deji Adeyanju has fulfilled his pledge of financial support to victims of the Egbe attack, bringing relief to grieving families.
He also renewed the call for urgent action against insecurity in Kogi West.
The incident, which claimed the life of a police officer and left others traumatized, shook the community of Egbe and surrounding areas.
Adeyanju had earlier promised ₦1 million to the wife of the late officer from Ogori Magongo, who was scheduled to retire next month, and ₦500,000 each to other affected families.
On Saturday, he confirmed that the funds had been delivered, describing the widow’s prayers as deeply emotional.

He also pledged to help the son of the fallen officer secure a better job to cushion the family’s loss.
Beyond the financial gesture, Adeyanju vowed to intensify his advocacy against insecurity in Kogi West.
He stressed that his concern went beyond individual support, promising to mobilize his networks to demand stronger government action.
“My concern does not end here. From today, I’m going to be calling everyone I know to do something about the escalating insecurity situation in my senatorial district. SAVE KOGI WEST FROM BANDITS,” he declared.
His intervention has been widely praised as an act of empathy and responsibility, offering comfort to the victims while reigniting the broader call for peace and security across Kabba/Bunu, Ijumu, Egbe, and the entire Okunland region.
