Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has issued a stern warning to Gunners boss Mikel Arteta, urging him to secure a trophy after five years without silverware.
The Gunners have struggled over the past five seasons, failing to win a trophy. Now, Mikel Arteta is under increasing pressure to deliver silverware to the Emirates Stadium.
They lost the Premier League title to Manchester City and Liverpool over the past three seasons and came closest to reaching their first Champions League final since 2006.
What trophies can Arsenal win?
The Gunners have the potential to win all four available trophies this season: the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, and Carabao Cup.
They are one of the favourites to win the English title for the first time since 2004. However, defending champions Liverpool pose the closest challenge, having made several key signings.

The North London club fell short by 10 points last season and just two points in the 2023/24 campaign to Manchester City. With some major signings, they are now expected to push over the line.
Arsenal reached the Champions League semi-final, only to be defeated by eventual winners Paris Saint-Germain. They are now favourites to make a deep run in the competition once again this season.
What is Thierry Henry’s warning to Arsenal?
Henry was critical of his former team for failing to secure a trophy, drawing a comparison to Manchester United, who managed to win two trophies despite their struggles.
“Manchester United have played in five finals in the last five years, the United that everyone laughs at, whereas for Arsenal in the last three years of building, they’ve not reached a final,” Henry said on the Stick to Football podcast
Speaking on CBS Sports, Henry stated that the Gunners must win a trophy this season.
“Let’s all be honest, it’s a must this year to win something. It’s a must, you can’t hide,” Henry said. ‘Whatever it is you have to bring something, I know people will talk about the title, I do think it is going to be a battle between Liverpool and Arsenal.”
“But you have to win something, if you talk about what has been done recently, finishing second never gave you a trophy, it’s great but at some point, you’ve got to validate what you are doing.”
Who did Arsenal signed?
To close the gap, Arsenal made some high-profile signings but have also already lost to their closest challengers, Liverpool. One of their biggest signings was striker Viktor Gyökeres from Sporting CP.
They also strengthened their attack by signing Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace, as well as Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad.
