Reacting, Ogundipe, representing Oshodi-Isolo Constituency 1, told NAN that the President’s speech assured better days ahead in the face of the country’s challenges.
He said Nigerians must never lose the flame of hope, adding” there will be light at the end of the tunnel”.
Ogundipe said Nigerians had reasons to celebrate given that the country still remains strong in spite of its challenges.
He said: “As we celebrate the 65th Independence Anniversary of our beloved nation, let us reflect on the true meaning of freedom.
“Beyond being a natural right, freedom is a state of mind, one that empowers us to achieve greatness and to create the most inspiring things.
“On behalf of our leader, Mudashiru Obasa, the speaker of the State House of Assembly; the Principal Officers; and my distinguished colleagues, I extend warm felicitations to Nigerians on this historic day.
“This celebration calls us to refocus and rededicate ourselves to the collective task of rebuilding our nation.
“Our freedom becomes truly meaningful when it is accompanied by good governance, the right leadership, and citizens who are committed to national progress.”
The lawmaker urged Nigerians to see the country’s diversity as its greatest strength.
The lawmaker also advised citizens not to underestimate the potential within them adding that their resilience, creativity, and determination would define the Nigeria of tomorrow.
Ogundipe said in unity, they could overcome adversity, urging Nigerians to rise above tribal, religious, and political boundaries to build a nation they would be all be proud to call home.
“The future is promising and together, we could make it even brighter”.
