Realnews Magazine and Publications Limited has announced that Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu, SAN, Chairman of the ICPC, will deliver the keynote lecture at the Realnews 13th Anniversary Lecture scheduled for November 19, 2025, at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.
The lecture, themed “Cybersecurity, Illicit Financial Flows and Achieving Agenda 2063 in Africa,” underscores Realnews’ continued dedication to national development discourse through its annual lecture series.
Dr Aliyu confirmed his attendance earlier in March 2025 and reaffirmed this in a follow-up email dated October 31, stating, “I will attend by God’s grace.”
Appointed ICPC chairman by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in October 2023, barely days after attaining the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Dr Aliyu brings a wealth of experience in governance, law, and institutional reform.
As Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Jigawa State between 2019 and 2023, he championed reforms in the justice sector, strengthened protections for women and children, and established key transparency and anti-corruption structures in partnership with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.
A seasoned academic, Aliyu has lectured at the Jigawa State College of Islamic Legal Studies and the Nigeria Police Academy in Wudil.
His works have appeared in journals locally and abroad, and he has presented papers at international conferences.
Since assuming leadership of the ICPC, Aliyu has been credited with steering the organisation towards enhanced professionalism, ethical compliance, and partnerships with key stakeholders.

His leadership, according to Realnews, has elevated the Commission’s national standing through consistent adherence to the rule of law.
Born in Birnin-Kudu, Jigawa State, on December 27, 1977, Aliyu boasts an extensive academic portfolio, including an LL.B from Bayero University, Kano; a B.L from the Nigerian Law School; an LL.M from Ahmadu Bello University; and a PhD in Law from Universiti Utara Malaysia.
The 13th Anniversary Lecture will be chaired by Hon. Justice Ayotunde Phillips, former Chief Judge of Lagos State and former Chair of the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission, who will also moderate the panel discussion.
