The Confederation of African Football, CAF,and the AFCON Morocco 2025 Local Organising Committee have announced a major travel boost for football supporters ahead of next year’s tournament, confirming that fans who normally require a visa to enter Morocco will now receive free electronic visas for the competition.

CAF revealed in a statement on its official website that supporters attending Africa’s premier football event, scheduled for 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026, can obtain their free e-visa through the YALLA mobile application, which centralizes all fan-related services.

The decision comes as global enthusiasm for the tournament surges, with ticket bookings already rising significantly.

Fan ID + E-Visa: Mandatory for Stadium Access

CAF explained that two documents are required for all international supporters during the tournament:

  • A Fan ID
  • An electronic visa (for nationalities that require one)

“A Fan ID is mandatory for entry to all stadiums and official Fan Areas,” the statement said, noting that supporters can apply for both documents “seamlessly within the YALLA app,” making travel and stadium access faster, easier, and more secure.

How Fans Can Apply

Supporters must:

  1. Download the YALLA app from Google Play or the Apple App Store, or visit the official YALLA website.
  2. Complete the Fan ID application.
  3. Submit an e-visa request if their nationality requires one.

Once the Fan ID and e-visa are approved, supporters can purchase match tickets directly via the CAF ticketing platform.

A Streamlined Experience for AFCON 2025

CAF said the new measures were specifically designed to ensure a smooth and secure entry process for the tens of thousands of fans expected to travel to Morocco, which will host AFCON for the first time since 1988.

The 2025 edition will take place across nine stadiums in six cities, with 24 national teams vying for continental glory. Expectations are high as North Africa prepares to host a star-studded tournament featuring established talents and rising African football sensations.
