The Nigerian Air Force, NAF, has executed a series of precision airstrikes that destroyed a major terrorist stronghold in the Sauri camp, located in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
In a statement released on Saturday, the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, said the operation was carried out on November 14, 2025, under the Air Component of Operation FANSAN YAMMA.
According to Ejodame, the strikes were the result of comprehensive intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions, which confirmed heightened terrorist activity in the area. The terrorists were reportedly using a high-ground hideout as a logistics hub, cattle-rustling depot, and defensive stronghold.
The NAF statement noted that fighter aircraft conducted multiple coordinated strike passes, delivering direct hits on concealed structures, stolen livestock locations, and escape routes. Surviving terrorists attempting to flee into nearby vegetation were tracked and “effectively engaged.”

Ejodame said the mission neutralised numerous fighters and destroyed critical facilities used by the terrorists, significantly weakening their operational capability in Zamfara and the wider North-West region.
He quoted the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, who reaffirmed the military’s determination to maintain relentless pressure on armed groups.
“We will find them, hunt them down, and protect our people,” Aneke pledged.
The Air Force described the success of the operation as a major boost to ongoing efforts to deny terrorists safe havens and restore security across the region.
This latest strike comes days after NAF operations targeted ISWAP positions in Borno, as well as bandit hideouts in Kwara and Katsina, marking a sustained nationwide offensive against terrorist networks.
