Ousmane Dembele has won the 2025 FIFA Men’s Player of the Year award after a standout season in which he played a key role in Paris Saint-Germain’s domestic and European success.
The French winger received the prestigious honour on Tuesday night at the FIFA Awards ceremony held in Doha, finishing ahead of a strong shortlist that included Lamine Yamal, Kylian Mbappe and other top stars of world football.
Dembele’s latest accolade crowns an exceptional individual campaign, having already won the Ballon d’Or earlier in the year.
His influence proved decisive in PSG’s historic 2024/25 season, during which the club secured an unprecedented quadruple and lifted the UEFA Champions League trophy for the first time in its history.
The 28-year-old attacker delivered outstanding numbers, scoring 35 goals and providing 16 assists across all competitions.
His contributions powered PSG to the Ligue 1 title, the French Cup and the French Super Cup, alongside their long-awaited European triumph.

PSG also dominated other major categories at the ceremony. Head coach Luis Enrique was named FIFA Men’s Coach of the Year after overseeing a remarkable transformation of the team, while Gianluigi Donnarumma claimed the FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper of the Year award following a series of decisive performances throughout the season.
In the women’s category, Barcelona and Spain midfielder Aitana Bonmati emerged as FIFA Women’s Player of the Year.
England manager Sarina Wiegman secured the Women’s Coach of the Year award, while England goalkeeper Hannah Hampton was recognised as the best women’s goalkeeper.
Other honours on the night saw Montiel win the FIFA Puskas Award, Marta receive the FIFA Marta Award, Zakho SC supporters take home the FIFA Fan Award, and Andreas Harlass-Neuking receive the FIFA Fair Play Award.
Several players were also named in the FIFA FIFPRO World 11 selections. Dembele, Donnarumma, Jude Bellingham and Lamine Yamal featured in the men’s team, while Bonmati, Alexia Putellas and Lucy Bronze were included in the women’s lineup, rounding off a night that celebrated excellence across world football.
