Nigeria’s Afrobeats singer Davido and American rapper French Montana will set the tone for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations with a star-studded kick-off concert holding tonight in Rabat, Morocco, hours before the tournament’s opening match.
The concert will take place at the OLM Souissi Fan Zone in Rabat, serving as the official opening celebration ahead of the AFCON 2025 opener between hosts Morocco and Comoros at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium.
Other performers billed for the night include Moroccan pop star Douaa Lahyaoui, French-Moroccan hitmaker Lartiste, and fast-rising artist Says’z, adding a blend of African, Arab and global sounds to the opening spectacle.
In a statement shared on the Confederation of African Football’s Instagram page, CAF announced that the concert would run from 6 p.m. to midnight on Saturday, December 20, featuring top international and African music stars to usher in the continent’s biggest football tournament.

The selection of performers reflects AFCON’s commitment to showcasing African culture while embracing its growing global influence through music and entertainment.
Davido, one of Africa’s most celebrated music exports, is no stranger to major global stages. The award-winning singer has previously performed at high-profile events such as the opening ceremony of AFCON 2017, the 2022 FIFA World Cup draw in Doha, and the 2023 Professional Footballers’ Association awards.
AFCON 2025 officially kicks off later tonight with the opening match between Morocco and Comoros at the Stade Prince Moulay Abdellah in Rabat, marking the start of weeks of football action across the host nation.
