Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has approved a N160 million end-of-year solidarity package for security and law enforcement agencies in the state as part of efforts to appreciate their sacrifices and strengthen collaboration against criminality.
The gesture was announced on Tuesday in Gusau during a tour of security formations across the state. The governor was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Malam Abubakar Nakwada.
Speaking on behalf of the governor, Nakwada said the financial support was meant to demonstrate the state government’s appreciation for the commitment, resilience, and courage of security personnel safeguarding Zamfara.
“To further demonstrate the state government’s appreciation, N160 million has been allocated across the agencies as an end-of-year solidarity package,” he said.
The visit, described as the first of its kind in the state, was aimed at boosting morale among officers and reinforcing cooperation between the Zamfara State Government and federal security agencies in the ongoing fight against insecurity.
Nakwada conveyed the gratitude of both the government and the people of Zamfara to frontline officers risking their lives daily to protect communities across the state.
