Popular gospel musician Bunmi Akinnanu Adeoye, known as Omije Ojumi, has died at the age of 45.
She was born on November 19, 1979. News of her death emerged late Tuesday night.
Popular gospel musician Bunmi Akinnanu Adeoye, known as Omije Ojumi, has died at the age of 45.
She was born on November 19, 1979. News of her death emerged late Tuesday night.
The singer, who left a banking career for music, had reportedly been ill and died from a prolonged illness linked to her leg.
Omije Ojumi had publicly asked for prayers and divine healing over the ailment.

A video from a 2025 church service at G. F. David Ministries in Ibadan, Oyo State, showed her seated with her leg stretched out while prayers were offered.
During the service, a cleric revealed that the singer had been experiencing persistent bleeding in her leg.
She rose to fame in the early 2000s after abandoning banking for gospel music.
Her stage name, Omije Oju mi, Tears of my Eyes, came from her debut album.
Her other albums included Dabira, Alatilehin, Ma Sunkun Mo, and Testimony.
She studied Industrial Relations and Personnel Management at Lagos State University after attending Lagos State Polytechnic.
She reportedly worked in the banking industry for over a decade before transitioning to music.
