Thousands thronged RK Beach on Thursday to witness the International City Parade and a dazzling Naval air power demonstration during MILAN 2026 and IFR 2026.

The Indian Navy displayed its maritime and air capabilities with MiG-29K fighter jets, helicopters, and coordinated fly-pasts, thrilling the crowd and highlighting operational readiness, precision manoeuvres, and India’s advanced naval technology.

The International City Parade reflected India’s diversity, with marching bands, National Cadet Corps, Sea Cadet Corps, the Navy Children School, and artistic tableaux celebrating the nation’s rich maritime heritage and cultural vibrancy.

Addressing the gathering, Chief of the Naval Staff, Adm. Dinesh Tripathi, praised the “Andhrula athidyam” of Andhra people, emphasising India’s maritime strategy rooted in trust, openness, and mutual respect for global seas.

He stressed that events like IFR and MILAN 2026 foster international cooperation, camaraderie, and interoperability among friendly navies, acknowledging delegations and crews who crossed oceans to participate in the historic celebration.

Tripathi’s speech preceded a spectacular, 45-minute display of naval air power, cultural performances, and marching contingents at RK Beach, showcasing India’s naval might while blending tradition, culture, and operational excellence.

The parade concluded with ceremonial illumination, marking a memorable finale for MILAN 2026 and IFR 2026, reinforcing India’s leadership in maritime security and commitment to fostering global naval partnerships.

The parade included the Indian Sea Cadet Corps and the Indian Navy, followed by Korukonda Sainik School Band and the Indian Air Force Band.

Marching contingents from the Indian Coast Guard, Indian Air Force, Indian Army, and Indian Navy moved in measured formation, accompanied by martial music that carried across the shoreline.

International participation formed an integral part of the event, with naval contingents from countries including Australia, Bangladesh, France, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Philippines, Russia, Seychelles, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam joining the procession.

Their presence reflected the growing scope of multilateral maritime engagement under IFR and MILAN.

The event also provided a platform for youth engagement, with cadets and students interacting with international delegations, gaining insights into global naval practices, and learning about the importance of maritime security.

Local cultural groups added further colour to the celebration, performing traditional dances and musical renditions that highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s rich artistic heritage and maritime traditions.

Officials confirmed that the seamless coordination between naval units and city authorities ensured smooth movement of both participants and spectators, reinforcing safety and operational efficiency during the high-profile event.

Concluding remarks from visiting naval chiefs praised India’s ability to host such large-scale multinational gatherings, calling MILAN 2026 a benchmark for collaboration, cultural exchange, and demonstration of modern naval capabilities.
