Yinka Theisen has opened up about the end of her marriage to Nollywood actor Linc Edochie, attributing the breakup not to a lack of love but to what she described as his inability to defend her against external attacks.
In a recent Facebook post, Theisen revealed that the relationship ended not because love was lacking, but because her partner failed to defend her against what she described as “bullies.”
She also pushed back against claims that Linc was an opportunist who tried to use her, describing him as a man “who could not stand up to external pressure.”
“I say this for everyone. It was not a lack of love that ended my relationship with Linc. It was his inability to stand against bullies. That is why I can’t be upset with him but I agree with many, every good woman deserves better. So please stop saying he tried to use me. He did not,” she wrote.

“Things happened behind the scenes that none of you will ever know. Our relationship is over, but don’t label him an opportunist. It was not Mary or her followers who ended my relationship. God brought lots to the forefront through this saga. I am thankful to God.
“I am the kind of woman who would rather go down fighting than give in to a bunch of unhappy, mean people. I am now praying for that special man God has for me.”
Describing herself as someone who would “rather go down fighting than give in to a bunch of unhappy, mean people,” Theisen confirmed she has now moved on and is looking forward. She revealed that the experience has given her clarity on what she wants in a future partner.
“The good thing is, I now have a list and if that list is not met, it is a no-go for me. Things happen to stir us toward disaster. My support for Ezedike and Judy has nothing to do with Linc. Unless you taste what people are going through, you can never be a strong supporter,” she added.
“Again, I say, ‘Thank you, Jesus.’ Linc was merely bait God used to get me to where I am today. My support for this beautiful couple is unwavering and stronger than it has ever been!”
Tensions between Yinka and Linc escalated after she got into an online dispute with May Edochie, the first wife of Yul Edochie, the brother of Linc, in June last year.
The feud took a dramatic turn when Yinka shared May’s phone number online, claiming May had previously leaked her contact.
Linc, however, distanced himself from Yinka’s actions, stressing the importance of mutual respect.
Shortly after, the couple unfollowed each other on Instagram, after which Yinka confirmed their marriage had ended.
She also revealed how her relationship with Linc started, adding that they grew close after he confided in her about his previous marriage.
In July, Theisen issued a public apology to Linc over her previous social media outbursts.
Yinka Theisen is a US-based Nigerian entrepreneur, mental health nurse, and social media personality originally from Lagos State, Nigeria. She lives in places like Blaine, Minnesota, and maintains an active Instagram presence with around 19K followers, where she shares faith-based content as a self-described “Christ follower,” alongside personal and lifestyle posts. She has been involved in cosmetics, fashion influencing, and business ventures, often presenting herself as a strong, independent woman with a Yoruba background.
She rose to public attention in Nigerian entertainment circles through her brief engagement to Nollywood actor Linc Edochie, son of Yul Edochie, which garnered significant online drama, gossip, and commentary from blogs and social media. The relationship, which lasted only about two months and ended around 2025, involved public apologies, emotional posts, and explanations from Yinka citing Linc’s inability to defend her against online “bullies” and external pressures as a key reason for the breakup rather than a lack of love. She has since focused on moving on, occasionally addressing the fallout while emphasising personal growth and faith amid ongoing fan discussions and Edochie family-related commentary.
