Arsenal are set for a subtle kit change after they won the Premier League title for the first time in 22 years.

Mikel Arteta’s side won the trophy on May 19 after Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City failed to beat Bournemouth.

Arsenal lifted the 2025/2026 Premier League trophy on May 24, which is set to introduce a kit change for the Gunners next season.

Martin Odegaard lifted the trophy at Selhurst Park minutes after an inconsequential 2-1 win over Crystal Palace.

The Gunners came into this game having already secured the title after Manchester City faltered away at Bournemouth on Tuesday. The draw gave them (Arsenal) a four-point lead heading into the final game.

Both Mikel Arteta and Oliver Glasner heavily rotated their squads ahead of their European finals next week. Stand-in captain Gabriel Jesus opened the scoring just before half-time, before Noni Madueke scored the second goal. Jean-Philippe Mateta pulled one back in the 89th minute before Yeremy Pino’s equaliser was chalked off for offside.

The dead rubber win paved the way for short celebrations before the club focuses their attention on the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain.

Why Arsenal will change their kit next season

As part of the package of winning the Premier League, Arsenal will have a subtle kit change next season. The Gunners will be allowed to wear the gold Premier League badge on the sleeve of their shirts next season.

This tradition was introduced in the 2015/2016 season, where Leicester City completed a fairytale win, meaning that it will be the first time that Arsenal will have the badge. The badge is only won in the season the club is defending the title, as seen on Liverpool shirts this season.

What do Arsenal get for winning Premier League title?

Apart from the badge and the trophy, Arsenal received 40 medals which was distributed to the players. Premier League rules dictate that medals are given to players who have attained at least five appearances. A club can request more if more than 39 players reach five or more appearances.

Additionally, they have gotten the right to compete for more silverware in the Community Shield, where they will face a Pep Guardiola-less Manchester City.

Is there prize money for winning the Premier League?

There is no direct prize money for winning the Premier League, but clubs receive money based on where they finish, the number of games that were broadcast on TV, and other central payments.

The other thing they will get, of course, is qualification to next season’s Champions League alongside the clubs that finished in the top five: Manchester City, Manchester United, Aston Villa and Liverpool.

Where there are two Premier League trophies

Meanwhile, there are two Premier League trophies, but the winner only gets one.

The Premier League has two trophies but retains the main one while the champions keep one.
