The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board,JAMB, has announced Saturday, June 13, 2026, as the date for the conduct of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, mop-up exercise.
The examination is intended for candidates who were successfully biometrically verified during the main UTME but could not sit for the examination due to various challenges.
In a statement signed by JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the Board explained that the 2026 UTME was held between April 16 and April 23, 2026, but some examination centres experienced technical difficulties that prevented several candidates from taking the test.
JAMB also disclosed that some candidates whose results were withdrawn over examination malpractice, as well as candidates who encountered biometric verification issues, have been included in the mop-up exercise.
