FIFA has appointed Slovenian referee Slavko Vinčić to officiate the 2026 FIFA World Cup final between Spain and Argentina.
The world football governing body announced the match officials on its official X handle on Friday.
The final battle will take place on Sunday. Vinčić will be assisted by fellow Slovenians Tomaž Klančnik and Andraž Kovačič as first and second assistant referees, respectively.
Jordan’s Adham Makhadmeh has been named fourth official, while Mohammad Alkalaf will serve as reserve assistant referee.
The final will be played at the 80,663-capacity New York New Jersey Stadium in USA, with kick-off scheduled for 3:00 p.m. local time, EDT.

Spain booked their place in the final after beating France in the semi-final.
Defending world champions Argentina, led by Lionel Messi, reached the title decider after knockout victories over Egypt, Switzerland and England.
The match will be the 104th and final fixture of the expanded 48-team FIFA World Cup, with the winners crowned world champions.
Argentina are seeking to retain the title they won in Qatar in 2022, while Spain are aiming to add another World Cup crown to their 2010 triumph.
