The All Progressives Congress, APC, has appointed Imo State Governor and Chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum, Hope Uzodimma, as Chairman of its Osun Governorship National Campaign Council.
The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, announced the appointment in a statement on Sunday in Abuja, adding that the council was constituted to coordinate the APC’s campaign efforts ahead of the Osun governorship election scheduled for Aug. 15.
According to Morka, Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas will serve as co-chairmen of the council.
He said Alhaji Ibrahim Masari, Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Political and Other Matters, would serve as Deputy Chairman, while Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin would act as Secretary.
