Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has appointed three new commissioners, 45 aides and 40 members of various boards as part of efforts to accelerate his administration’s development agenda and deepen institutional reforms across the state.

The appointments were announced in a statement issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Malam Ibraheem Musa, who said the latest appointments are aimed at strengthening the administration’s capacity to improve public service delivery, advance ongoing reforms and promote sustainable economic growth in Kaduna State.

The Governor said the new appointees would contribute to the implementation of his administration’s transformational agenda and bring fresh ideas into the management of government affairs.

Among the newly appointed commissioners is Ben Kure, the Managing Director of the Kaduna State Media Corporation, KSMC, who has been appointed Commissioner of Sports Development.

Sani also appointed Amina Akilu Dalhat as Commissioner of Special Duties I, while Abdullahi Garba Abbas was named Commissioner of Special Duties II.

The Governor further appointed Dr Haliru Soba, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education, as Deputy Chief of Staff, Administration.

In addition to the appointments to the State Executive Council and the Governor’s office, Sani approved the appointment of chairmen and members of several key boards and agencies across the state.

The statement listed Alhaji Munir Jafaru as Chairman of the Kaduna State Health Care Board, while Air Vice Marshal Bashir Gamagira Saidu was appointed Chairman of the Kaduna Vigilance Service Board.

Other appointments include former Justice Gideon Isa Kurada as Chairman of the College of Education, Gidan Waya, and Esther Bago as Chairman of the Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development.

The appointments cut across different sectors and institutions, with the administration expecting the new officials to contribute to improved coordination and implementation of government programmes.

The Governor said the appointees were carefully selected based on their track records, integrity, competence and dedication to public service.

Sani congratulated the newly appointed officials and urged them to approach their respective responsibilities with a strong commitment to the development of Kaduna State.

He charged them to bring fresh perspectives to their assignments and avoid complacency in the discharge of their responsibilities.

The Governor also urged the appointees to align their activities with his administration’s vision of building a transformed and resilient state.

He stressed the importance of effective public service delivery and called on the new officials to work towards achieving the administration’s development objectives.

Sani wished the appointees God’s guidance and wisdom as they assume their new responsibilities, while expressing confidence that their contributions would support the government’s reform and development efforts across Kaduna State.
