Nigerian singer Dapo Oyebanjo, popularly known as D’Banj, has donated three brand-new Sienna space buses to lawyer and Osun politician Pelumi Olajengbesi to support his bid for the Oriade-Obokun Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives in 2027.
D’Banj presented the vehicles to Olajengbesi in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, on Thursday.
Olajengbesi announced the donation in a Facebook post on Friday, describing it as an unexpected gesture of support from the music star.
He said D’Banj had contacted him about two weeks earlier to request the contact details of the person handling his campaign branding.
Olajengbesi said he initially believed the request was connected to D’Banj’s CREAM project, which supports young creatives, and shared the contact.
He later received three fully branded Sienna buses from the singer.
Olajengbesi said he contacted D’Banj after receiving the vehicles and quoted the singer as saying, “It’s my token of support.”

He thanked the singer for supporting his political journey, describing the gesture as a major show of encouragement.
The donation comes after Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, also endorsed Olajengbesi’s ambition.
Olajengbesi served as campaign spokesman for the re-election bid of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke in the Aug. 15, 2026 governorship election.
He is also the convener of the Imole Grassroots Mobilisation Network in Osun State.
Olajengbesi, who turned 40 in August, previously contested the Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency seat in 2019.
He secured the Accord Party ticket for the constituency ahead of the 2027 election.
