Nollywood actress Chioma Chukwuka-Akpotha has lost her father, Leonard Ndukaife Chukwuka, 13 years after the death of her mother, Grace Chukwuka.
The actress announced the death on Friday in an emotional post on her social media platforms, where she mourned her father and reflected on the loss of her parents.
Chukwuka-Akpotha described her father as her “daddy,” “Papa’m,” “obara’m” and “comfort”, saying she struggled to find the right words to express her grief.
She recalled that her mother died 13 years ago, adding that her father’s death had left her without either parent.
“My beloved father, Leonard Ndukaife Chukwuka, has gone to be with the Lord.
“I lost my mother 13 years ago and now that my father is gone, the thought that I have neither parent here anymore breaks my heart in a way I cannot fully explain.
“So na only me bayi?” she wrote.
The actress expressed gratitude to God for giving her father a long life and allowing him to witness his children and grandchildren.

She also remembered the moments they shared, particularly during the later years of his life.
Chukwuka-Akpotha said losing a parent creates a longing for more time together, regardless of the number of years spent with them.
“No matter how many years we are given with a parent, we still want one more conversation, one more embrace, one more day,” she wrote.
The actress said she kept the death private while she processed her grief and appealed to the public to pray for her, her siblings and the entire Chukwuka family.
She added that the family would announce funeral arrangements when they were ready.
Chioma Chukwuka-Akpotha is an actress, director, producer and mentor whose career in Nollywood spans more than two decades.
She has featured in numerous films and earned recognition for her versatility and longevity in the Nigerian film industry.
