TikTok star Hamzat Habeeb Adelaja, popularly known as Peller, said Peter Obi had contacted him to arrange a live-stream ahead of the 2027 general election.

Peller said this during a TikTok live-stream on Wednesday, stressing that the planned session would not amount to an endorsement of Obi’s presidential ambition.

He said he intended to host the former Anambra State governor on his platform but would not campaign for him or urge his followers to vote for him.

“Peter Obi reached out to me that he wants to do a live-stream with me. Before you people get the wrong idea, I am not promoting any presidential candidate, and I am not asking you to vote for Peter Obi. I just want to stream with him on my platform,” Peller said.

The proposed live-stream has attracted mixed reactions on social media, with some users welcoming the move as a way for Obi to connect with younger Nigerians, while others questioned his decision to engage with audiences on TikTok.

A user identified as UPLINE described the proposed collaboration as “a very strategic move by Obi’s team”, adding that it offered an opportunity to connect with and listen to younger people.

Another user, Jesse_west, expressed support for the proposed session, writing, “We support u for this one peller.”

Obi recently appeared on a live-stream hosted by another TikTok personality, Emir Sirdam.
