Gunmen have abducted a farmer, Elder Bamidele Mathew and his son, IbukunOluwa Bamidele, in Kwara State, demanding N20m ransom for their release.
A family member said Elder Bamidele, also known as Photo, was working on his farm at Idofin with two of his children when the gunmen struck. One of the children reportedly escaped.
“Three of them were working on their farm at Idofin when the kidnappers abducted them. One of them escaped,” the family member said.
He added that IbukunOluwa, who recently completed his secondary education, was helping his father on the farm when the incident occurred.
The source said the kidnappers did not arrive on motorcycles but stormed the farm while the family members were working.
He disclosed that the kidnappers had contacted the family and demanded N20m ransom.

The abduction reportedly occurred on a farm between Odo-Owa and Idofin in the Kwara South Senatorial District.
The family and members of the community have appealed to the Kwara State Government, the Federal Government and security agencies to intervene and secure the victims’ release.
“We appeal to the Kwara State Government, the Nigerian Government, security agencies and the world at large to come to our rescue,” the family pleaded.
The family has also printed flyers bearing photographs of the abducted father and son, urging members of the public to provide useful information about their whereabouts.
“Please share this flyer. Every share could help bring them home,” the family urged.
