Nollywood actress and African Action Congress governorship aspirant in Abia State, Doris Ogala, has reportedly been remanded at Ikoyi Correctional Centre in Lagos pending the scheduling of her bail hearing in an ongoing legal dispute with Pastor Chris Okafor.
Comedian DeeOne said in a post on his X account on Wednesday that Ogala would remain in custody until a date is fixed for her bail hearing.
“Doris Ogala has just been remanded in Ikoyi Prison till she can get a date for her bail hearing,” he wrote.
The reported development follows a prolonged dispute between Ogala and Okafor, the founder of the Mountain of Liberation and Miracles Ministries.
Ogala previously claimed that she and the cleric had been romantically involved and that he had promised to marry her before ending the relationship. The dispute intensified after Okafor’s pre-wedding photographs emerged online, prompting public exchanges between the two.

Ogala had also expressed concerns about what she described as plans to keep her behind bars, saying such developments could threaten her freedom and affect her political ambitions ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Abia State.
Meanwhile, Ogala recently criticised the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International, Apostle Johnson Suleman, over his comments on the performance of Abia State Governor, Alex Otti.
Suleman had praised Otti’s administration, suggesting that the governor could secure a second term without an extensive campaign.
Ogala challenged the cleric’s assessment and questioned his knowledge of developments in the state. She also claimed that he had not visited Abia despite commenting publicly on the state’s affairs.
As of the time of filing this report, no official confirmation of Ogala’s reported remand or details of the scheduled bail proceedings were included in the available account.
