Several blue-chip companies, government agencies and other organisations have indicated interest in the forthcoming SUPERNEWS Local Content Confab ’26 and 10th Anniversary Celebration scheduled to hold at Oriental Hotel, Lagos, on July 7, 2026.
Among the organisations supporting the event are the National Insurance Commission, the Nigerian Communications Commission, Nigeria LNG, Leadway Assurance Company Limited, Guinea Insurance Plc, the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers, Stanbic IBTC Holding, Universal Insurance Plc and Ugooafunwa Investment Company Ltd.
Publisher of SUPERNEWS Nigeria and convener of the conference, Ngozi Onyeakusi, said the support reflects growing confidence in the event as a platform for policy dialogue, stakeholder engagement and discussions on national development.
She said the backing from the institutions highlights the increasing relevance of the SUPERNEWS annual conference in promoting conversations on key economic issues and encouraging collaboration across sectors.
Onyeakusi also commended NLNG and Leadway Assurance for their consistent support for the conference over the years, alongside other organisations and individuals that have contributed to the growth of SUPERNEWS Nigeria.

This year’s conference is themed, “Local Content and Digitisation: Building Synergy Between Oil and Gas and Insurance Sectors for Inclusive Growth.” The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Universal Insurance Plc, Dr Jeff Duru, will chair the event, while the Group Managing Director/CEO of Royal Exchange Plc, Mrs Idu Okeahialam, is expected to deliver the keynote address.
According to the organisers, the conference is expected to attract regulators, operators, chief executives, policymakers, civil society representatives, media practitioners, students and other stakeholders.
SUPERNEWS Nigeria said the event is particularly significant this year as it coincides with its 10th anniversary, marking a decade of reporting and advocacy across the financial, insurance, oil and gas, and telecommunications sectors.
As part of the anniversary activities, the media platform will recognise organisations that have recorded notable achievements in innovation, regulation, leadership and service delivery.
Onyeakusi described the anniversary as a celebration of resilience and professionalism, adding that it also provides an opportunity for the organisation to reaffirm its commitment to responsible journalism, policy advocacy and constructive national discourse.
Stakeholders from across sectors are expected to converge on Lagos for the July 7 event, which organisers say will provide a platform for the exchange of ideas and recognition of excellence in corporate leadership, public service and economic development.
