BBNaija Season 11 housemate, Whitney Chukwu, popularly known as Nomy, has been disqualified from the reality show for continued defiance of Big Brother’s instructions and violation of the house rules.

Big Brother announced Nomy’s disqualification on Monday night during the ongoing “Show Ya Sef” season and directed her to leave the house immediately.

According to the announcement, the decision followed Nomy’s continued disregard for Big Brother’s directives despite previous disciplinary measures, including a strike and a final warning.

Nomy had earlier received a strike and a final warning from Big Brother over her failure to comply with instructions.

Her conduct in the house was reportedly characterized by disobedience, lateness to mandatory activities and selective participation in tasks and other activities required of all housemates.

BBNaija had reminded the housemates that compliance with his instructions was mandatory and that violations of the rules could attract disciplinary measures.

Despite the earlier strike and final warning, Nomy continued to disregard Big Brother’s directives, leading to the decision to disqualify her from the competition.

Nomy had also faced other disciplinary measures for violating the rules of the house. As part of one of the punishments, she was directed to separate beans from rice after Big Brother reviewed her conduct.

The punishment came amid concerns over her approach to mandatory activities and her compliance with instructions issued to the housemates.

Big Brother subsequently warned that housemates were expected to follow the rules and instructions governing the competition. However, Nomy’s continued defiance eventually resulted in her immediate exit from the show.

Her disqualification brings her participation in the 11th season of Big Brother Naija to an end. Nomy becomes one of the housemates whose journey has ended through disciplinary action rather than the regular eviction process.

Her exit is another major development in the 2026 edition of the reality show, which has attracted significant attention since its premiere.

The 2026 edition of BBNaija premiered on July 26 with 24 housemates competing for a grand prize of N160 million.

Tagged “Show Ya Sef,” the season requires contestants to abide by Big Brother’s rules throughout their stay in the house.

Depending on the nature and severity of violations, housemates can face warnings, strikes, punishments or disqualification.

Nomy’s case highlights the disciplinary measures available to Big Brother when a housemate continues to disregard the rules despite earlier sanctions.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Nomy’s disqualification makes her one of the housemates whose journey has ended through disciplinary action rather than the regular eviction process.
