High Chief Government Ekpemupolo aka Tompolo, Grand Patron of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, has urged Nigerians to re-elect President Bola Tinubu in 2027. He said the administration’s economic reforms are working but need more time to be consolidated.
Tompolo spoke on Friday in Damaturu, the Yobe State capital, where the Movement unveiled campaign vehicles it donated to the state chapter of the All-Progressives Congress, APC, for grassroots mobilisation.
Kester Pondi, Managing Director of Tantita Security Services, represented him at the event where he credited the president’s policies with raising the revenue that goes to the states.
“President Bola Tinubu’s policies have been wonderful. They have helped our governors to have more money for projects. They have put more money in the states than ever before,” he said.
“Today, your state governors have money to execute projects, your governors don’t owe salaries and pensions, and that is because of the economic reforms of President Bola Tinubu which are yielding results.”
He compared the reforms to fixing a road. The work is hard while it lasts, he said, but once it is finished, “everyone enjoys the usage of the road.” He named local government autonomy and higher revenue for states as gains already showing.

“If you want these reforms which have made local government autonomy and steady salary payment possible to be consolidated, you must vote President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027. Re-elect the president for continuous reforms that will stand the test of time,” he said.
The Movement’s National Coordinator, Sunday Asuku, thanked residents for their support. He also urged them to reject the opposition, which he accused of trying to deceive Nigerians.
“The landgrabbers are out to deceive Nigerians again, but we have come to tell you that collectively, we should tell them a resounding no. There is no vacancy in Aso Rock Villa. Aso Rock is for President Tinubu,” Asuku said.
He said bigger allocations to states from the Federation Account have paid for roads, housing, water, electricity and other infrastructure in the states.
“He (Tinubu) has done a lot and we must give him more time to do more so that we can continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy,” he said. He urged supporters to “mobilise from door-to-door, street-to-street, area-to-area, farm-to-farm, settlement-to-settlement and vote APC from top to bottom.”
Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni is also Deputy Director-General of the APC Campaign Council. His deputy, Alhaji Idi Barde Gubana, represented him and thanked the Movement for making his job easier.
Buni said the APC had no need to campaign in Yobe because the state was “100 per cent” behind the president. He promised Tinubu would win there, adding that the state had already reorganised its campaign structure from state to ward level ahead of the polls.
The event ended with the handover of campaign vehicles and materials for the door-to-door campaign in the state.
