Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has sparked debate after saying men should be willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for their partners.
The “Wotowoto Seasoning” crooner made the statement during a recent episode of the In Motion Podcast, where he discussed his views on relationships, marriage, sacrifice and his Christian faith.
Odumodublvck described men who are unwilling to die for their partners as “fools”, arguing that Christian teachings provide a model for the level of love and sacrifice expected from husbands.
“I am a Christian, and Jesus Christ said we should love our wife like Christ loves the Church. And what did Christ do for the Church? He died for the Church,” he said.
The rapper said his belief in marital sacrifice extends to his expectation that he would die before his wife.
“I am probably going to die before my wife, in Jesus’ name, because my wife is younger than me. Why should she die before me? It doesn’t make any sense. I should die before my wife,” he said.
He also spoke about what he expects to happen to his wealth after his death, saying his wife would be responsible for distributing his assets among their children.

“And when I die, it is my wife who will take and distribute my wealth to my children so that there will be no issue. It is my wife that will continue my legacy,” he said.
Odumodublvck’s comments come amid discussions about the expectations placed on men and women in romantic relationships, particularly around sacrifice, loyalty and responsibility.
The rapper also addressed the perception that he is hostile towards women, describing the label of misogynist as one of the biggest misconceptions about him.
“The biggest misconception about me is that I am a misogynist. It bothers me a lot because it is such an unfair thing to say,” he said.
He argued that his willingness to sacrifice his life for his partner contradicts the perception that he dislikes or disrespects women.
“I am willing to die for my girlfriend; does that seem like what a misogynist would do?” he asked.
His comments have since drawn attention to his views on relationships and the extent to which partners should be willing to sacrifice for one another.
