The wife and two children of the Kwara House of Assembly member Hon. Soliu Ayanshola who were Kidnapped on Monday have regained their freedom.
A senior Kwara State government official, who pleaded anonymity, told newsmen on Wednesday night that the victims have reunited with their families.
In a recent development, the wife and two children of Kwara House of Assembly member Hon. Soliu Ayanshola, who were abducted on Monday, have been freed. This uplifting news comes as a senior Kwara State government official, who wished to remain anonymous, informed the public on Wednesday night that the victims have rejoined their families.
The source also revealed that security forces have apprehended about five members of the gang responsible for the abduction.
“They regained their freedom late Wednesday, around 8 p.m., thanks to the diligent efforts of our security agencies and the state government,” the source stated. “At least five members of the gang that took them have also been arrested, thanks to the discreet intelligence and surveillance work carried out by all the teams involved.”
Recall that the wife and two children of the lawmaker representing the Ipaiye/Malete/Olooru constituency of Moro Local Government in the State House of Assembly were kidnapped by gunmen on Monday. They were taken from their home when the gunmen entered their residence at approximately 1:00 a.m.
