The Moroccan Ambassador in Nigeria, Ali Tagma has promised to support the Ministy of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation in providing enduring solutions for individuals affected by humanitarian crises in Nigeria.
This commitment extends to working closely with the government to combat poverty.
Ambassador Ali Tagma made this pledge during a courtesy visit to Dr. Betta Edu, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, in Abuja.
The Minister engaged in a strategic meeting with the Ambassador in her office, where both parties agreed on cooperating to fight poverty in Nigeria.
The Ambassador underscored the dedication of King Mohammed VI of Morocco, often referred to as the “king for the poor,” to collaborate with Nigeria in addressing poverty-related challenges.
Dr. Edu emphasized the critical need for strategic cooperation across Africa to combat poverty effectively. She also highlighted specific areas of collaboration between both nations, delving into subjects such as migration and youth empowerment.
