Tragedy struck Ungwan Baka in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State, as bandits reportedly killed a farmer and abducted 25 individuals.
The bandits carried out their attack during the early hours of the morning while the local residents were asleep.
According to a survivor of the attack who wished to remain anonymous, the bandits, armed with guns and machetes, invaded the community and wrought havoc. Two individuals sustained injuries during the attack, and sadly, one person lost their life.
“We rushed those that were injured to the hospital, and we wish them a quick recovery. As for those who were kidnapped, we pray for their safe return. Please pray for us. This marks the third attack on our community,” the survivor shared.
As of the time of this report, the Kaduna State Police Command had not issued a statement on the incident.
