The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ,NSCDC, has scored a significant victory against economic saboteurs with the discovery and dismantling of illegal crude oil warehouses in Imo State.
In separate operations, the NSCDC apprehended two suspects and impounded a Toyota Sequoia jeep loaded with over 5,000 litres of suspected adulterated Automotive Gas Oil ,AGO.
Sharing the details on its official Facebook page, the NSCDC showcased images capturing the successful enforcement activities.
The post highlighted the commitment of the Corps to intensify the war against economic saboteurs.
The post read, “Intensifying the war against economic saboteurs: The CG SIS has arrested two suspected economic saboteurs and impounds one Toyota Sequoia jeep loaded with over 5,000 litres of suspected adulterated AGO at Abacheke of Ohaji/Egbema local government area of Imo State”.
In addition to the arrests, NSCDC disclosed that two illegal crude oil warehouses, concealed in a dense forest in Izorsu community of Oguta II Local Government Area and Umuofor community of Oguta LGA in Imo State, were located and subsequently destroyed during the operations.
