The members of Omoba De Jombo Beats‘ crew, a Juju musician based in Abuja, who were allegedly abducted on Sunday, December 17, 2023, while returning from an event, have since been released.
Remember that a fellow musician named Adeyinka Adeboye, better known by his stage name Boye Best, disclosed the news of the kidnapping in a post he shared on Instagram.
“A whole band of members kidnapped,” the post said. Nigeria is in disarray. I vouch that you guys are in my prayers. All of you will survive this ordeal.
He claimed that after giving a live performance at a show in Abuja over the weekend, they were abducted by unidentified gunmen.

Boye Best claims that the kidnappers are requesting a ransom of N10 million in order to free them.
On Thursday, December 21, 2023, a video appeared online, showing the musician and his band getting off a bus and appearing worn out.
As of the time of publication, it is unknown if the victims paid the alleged N10 million ransom before being freed.
