The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, AEDC, has issued an apology to its consumers regarding the power interruption experienced within its franchise areas.

In a statement released on Friday in Abuja, the company’s management expressed regret for the inconvenience caused by this disruption.

“We understand the inconvenience this may cause and sincerely apologize for the disruption,” the statement read.

“We would like to inform you that we are aware of the unstable power supply experienced recently, primarily due to insufficient power allocation to us.”

The statement explained that this shortage has necessitated the implementation of load curtailment directives across their franchise areas to manage the situation for grid stability. As a result, occasional temporary interruptions of power supply to certain areas for a limited period may occur.

The company assured customers that it is diligently working to minimize the impact of these outages. “We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this challenging time. Please be assured that we will continue to update you on the situation and provide any necessary information as it becomes available,” the statement concluded.
