The Anambra lawyer, Adachukwu Okafor accused of abusing her 11-year-old maid and injuring her in the process, has surrendered herself to the police and will be arraigned in court.

Recall that the Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, placed a N2m bounty on her head.

Chidimma Ikeanyionwu, the media aide to the State Women and Social Welfare Commissioner, Hon Ify Obinabo, who confirmed the development in a statement on Friday, February 16, 2024, said the suspect surrendered herself to the Anambra Police Command in Awka.

Mrs. Okafor allegedly used knives and other sharp objects to inflict injuries on the minor, Happiness Nwafor.

Mrs. Okafor allegedly used knives and other sharp objects to injure the minor, Happiness Nwafor. Obinabo stated that the suspect, Adachukwu, will appear before the Children, Sexual and Gender Based Violence Magistrate Court in Awka next week.
