On Monday, Nigeria’s Flying Eagles secured a 1-0 victory against South Sudan in their second Group B game at the ongoing African Games in Accra, Ghana, rejuvenating their campaign.
Nigeria entered the match against South Sudan after a disappointing 2-1 loss to Uganda in their previous game. However, they managed to restore their reputation with a narrow but crucial victory over South Sudan. Sadiq Isiyiaka, who had scored Nigeria’s only goal against Uganda, found the net again from the penalty spot in the second half, securing a hard-fought 1-0 win for the Flying Eagles.

Under the guidance of coach Ladan Bosso, the team will now focus on their upcoming final match against Senegal on Friday, aiming to secure a spot in the semi-finals of the men’s football event.
Senegal, who lost 1-0 to Uganda in their second Group B fixture, will also be looking to bounce back in their encounter against Nigeria.
