The Kaduna State Police Command has apprehended four notorious child trafficking syndicates operating within the state based on intelligence reports.
The command’s public relations officer, the arrested individuals are Shehu Sani aged 40 yrs, residing in U/Rimi Kaduna; Tskan Isiaku aged 43 yrs, also residing in U/Rimi Kaduna; Angela Onazu aged 44 yrs, residing in Sabo Kaduna; and Hafsat Hussaini, 24 yrs, residing in U/Rimi Kaduna, according to ASP Mansir Hassan.
The PPRO said the operation resulted in the rescue of one victim, identified as Zainab Abdulhameed, aged 2 years.
The syndicate members, apprehended in the operation, confessed to their involvement in the heinous crime.

The modus operandi of the syndicate involved targeting underage children who are alone on the streets or running errands, according to the police spokesman.
He said: “Therefore, parents and guardians should remain vigilant and mindful of the whereabouts of their children or wards. The recent arrest highlights the sobering reality of the dangers faced by children when left unsupervised, even for a brief moment. By staying informed and actively involved in their children’s lives, parents and guardians can play a crucial role in safeguarding them from potential harm.”
